This devanagari etext of Valmiki Ramayana is based on Prof John Smith's revised CSX version of the original digital files produced by Professor Muneo Tokunaga of Kyoto University. In 1998, the files were converted from CSX to Devnag to ITRANS to XDVNG font for devanagari display on the web. In 2009 the ITRANS version was converted to unicode devanagari.

This page uses Unicode utf-8 encoding for devanagari/sanskrit transliteration. Please set the fonts and languages setting in your web browser to display the correct Unicode font.
