eight significant pilgrimage sites across the world where Lord Sriman Narayana has manifested Himself as Vyaktam, known as incarnations in physical forms. These revered places are Srirangam, Sri Mushnam, Thiruvenkatamalai, Salakramam, Naimisaranyam, Tiruneermalai, Pushkaram, and Sri Padarikacharam, collectively celebrated as Archai. Shri Mushnam holds significant importance as a svayamvyakta kshetram. It is situated in the South Arcot District of Tamil Nadu. Here, Lord Shri Bhoo Varaha Murthy manifests Himself in the form of a sAlakrAma svayambhu murti. Presently, we reside in the Shveta Varaha Kalpa. It was during this era that Bhagavan Shri Bhoo Varaha rescued the Earth from the clutches of Hiranyaksha. All of us, as well as our souls, belong to Him. Shri Varaha Bhagwan was the one who initially blessed and enlightened us with the Varaha Charmsloka, which serves as the path to attain Moksha. He perpetually resides alongside His consort, Shri Ambujavalli, rising in Srimushnam on the banks of the Nitya Pushkarini, a water body of profound significance. Just as the Ganges attained sanctity when His feet touched its waters, the Nitya Pushkarini boasts a special connection with the Lord. It was formed from His sweat after He defeated Hiranyaksha and took repose there. In this sacred pool, the waters of all the holy rivers worldwide are believed to converge. Across generations, it has been observed that childless couples bathe in this pool, circumambulate the nearby Ashvata tree, and then offer worship to Lord Varaha, seeking the blessing of offspring. The Glory of Srimushnam is featured in the IV chapter of the Skandapurana. Here, Lord Shiva imparts the profound wisdom to His consort, Parvati, by elucidating the significance of the Shri Varaha Kavacham. The text underscores its exceptional greatness, surpassing even the comprehension of AdiseshA, the serpent with a thousand tongues. Parvati herself, as depicted in the Kavacha, remains endlessly absorbed and unceasingly awed, regardless of how often she listens to it. Through the recitation of this Kavacha, Parvati was granted the divine boon of two eternal and illustrious sons, Vinayaka and Subrahmanya. The Kavacha's impact transcends mere worldly gains; it purifies one's soul, enabling them to conquer the Lord of Death, Yama, and attain Moksha. The blessings extend beyond material benefits. Afflictions such as decay (Kshaya), epilepsy (Apasmaram), and leprosy (KuShTam) find remedy in its chanting. Malevolent energies projected by adversaries are dispelled, granting access to Maharaja Yoga. Apprehensions of ghosts, spirits, and demons dissipate. Venomous creatures hold no threat, and foes are compelled to retreat. The path to success becomes clearer, and obstacles are eradicated. Childless couples find solace, conceiving children through the recitation of this Kavacha. Sinful deeds and malevolent actions lose their potency. Those who chant it a hundred times on the banks of the Nitya Pushkarini in Srimushnam are blessed with uncommon opulence and reclaimed possessions.
