While using Atul Narkhede's itrans convert utility,
you may need to know few formatting commands using TeX/LaTeX.
Please use it for advanced formatting.
Please do not get `bogged-down' by the details.  It is as routine as
using the MSWord except little tedious:-)
We hope it helps you if you want to improve your skills in formatting
devanaagarii/English text using ITRANS.

%     The use of % suppresses the rest of the line in output so it acts
      as a comment
\medskip   medium vertical skip
\smallskip   small vertical skip
\bigskip   big vertical skip
\hskip 1.in   horizontal skip of 1. inch   mm, cm and pt (points ) are allowed
\ \ \ \        a slash with space produces a white space. Here four white spaces.
\\                 Force a line a break.  Notice that there is no space 
              inbetween.  It is not appicable if the line is blank.
\vskip 1.in    vertical skip
\obeylines       obey the lines so each line will appear on a line in the output
\parindent 50pt   Move the entire text by 60 pt to the right in obeyline mode
\hrule              horizontal rule/line
\LARGE        normal < large < Large <LARGE <huge  and dvng for change
              in devanaagarii size   e.g. \LARGEdvng

\commands    For example, some of the above commands  will be applied to
text            the text since the portion is enclosed by { and }

     In the centerline mode ( : ) will be forced by their mathematical mode
      e.g.  $($,  $:$,  $)$   since there appears bug in \centerline

The Sanskrit da.nDa is | or a period .
To get a period in Sanskrit mode use \.  since the backslash escapes what
follows.


\underline{text}   underlines the text enclosed in { }
{\bf text}    gets it boldfaced
{\it text}    italicizes  the text
\vfill           Filling vertical space before ejecting.
\eject          for page eject  which is usually followed after \vfill
\-              Dashes in devanaagarii mode

The following pairs  treats the text in between their begin and end act
              differently.  The devanaagarii mode should start inside and
              end before the \end is activated.

\begin{verse}    Verse manner.  Each line is treated as a separate ilne in output.
\end{verse}


\begin{center}   Centers the text.  Each line is treated as a separate ilne in output.
\end{center}


Itemize the portion of the text with a bullet on the  left

Itemize the portion of the text with a sequential number on the left

The format of the Atul's itrans convert utility(different from the header
and trailer in the .itx examples) is

is the usual format while using Atul's itrans convert utility.


Some other commands  are omitted since it has already become a lengthy
LaTeX training session:-)
