ShrI Yogalaxminarasimha Suprabhatam

 श्रीयोगलक्ष्मीनरसिंह सुप्रभातम् 
                  चोलसिंहपुर (श्रीघटिकाचल)
       कौसल्या सुप्रजा राम! पूर्वा सन्ध्या प्रवर्तते ।
       उत्तिष्ठ नरशार्दूल! कर्तव्यं दैवमाह्निकम् ॥

       उत्तिष्ठोत्तिष्ठ गोविन्द! उत्तिष्ठ गरुडध्वज! ।
       उत्तिष्ठ कमलाकान्त! त्रैलोक्यं मङ्गलं कुरु ॥

       मातः सुधाफललते! महनीयशोभे! (महनीयशीले)
            वक्षोविहाररसिके! नृहरेरजस्रम् ।
       क्षीराम्बुराशितनये! श्रितकल्पवल्लि!
            श्रीमन्नृसिंहदयिते! तव सुप्रभातम् ॥ १॥

       तव सुप्रभात-मनवद्य-वैभवे!
            घटिकेश-सद्गुण-निवास-भूतले ।
       घटिताखिलार्थ-घटिकाद्रिशेखरे
            घटिकाद्रिनाथ-दयिते! दयानिधे ॥ २॥

       अत्र्यादिका मुनिगणा विरचय्य सन्ध्यां
            दिव्यस्रवन्मधुझरीक सरोरुहाणि ।
       पादार्पणाय परिगृह्य पुरः प्रपन्नाः
            श्रीमन्नृसिंह विजयीभव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ३॥

       सप्तर्षिसङ्घकृत संस्तुति-सुप्रसन्न
            श्रीमन्नृसिंह गुणरूप रमामहीभ्याम् ।
       साकं नृसिंहगिरि-सत्त्वकृताधिवास
            श्रीमन्नृसिंह! विजयीभव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ४॥

       देवारिभञ्जन-मरुत्सुत-दत्तशङ्ख- 
            चक्रातपत्रित-फणीश्वर-पत्रिशेषिन् ।
       देवेन्द्रमुख्य-सुरपूजित-पादपद्म
            श्रीमन्नृसिंह! विजयीभव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ५॥

       स्वामिन् ! सुरेश ! मधुरेश ! समाहितार्थ
            ध्यानप्रवीण ! विनतावनजागरूक ।
       सर्वज्ञ ! सन्ततसमीरितसर्ववृत्त !
            श्रीमन्नृसिंह ! विजयीभव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ६॥

       प्रह्लादरक्षण-निदान-कृतावतार!
            मुग्धस्वकीयनखरैः स्पुटितारिवक्षः ।
       सर्वाभिवन्द्य-निजवैभव-चन्द्रकान्त!
            श्रीमन्नृसिंह विजयीभव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ७॥

       भक्तोचितादिसरसः सुगुणं प्रकृष्टं
            तीर्थं सुवर्णघट-पूरितमादरेण ।
       धृत्वा श्रुतिप्रवचनैकपरा लसन्ति
            श्रीमन्नृसिंह! विजयीभव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ८॥

       संश्लाघनीय-परमोत्तर-रङ्गवासि-
            सूरि-स्तुति-प्रथितविग्रह-कान्तिकान्त!
       सद्भिः-समर्चित-पदाम्बुज! साधुरक्षिन्
            श्रीमन्नृसिंह! विजयीभव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ९॥

       तीर्थानि गोमुखगतान्यखिलानि धृत्वा
            भव्यानि भव्यनिकराः परितो लसन्ति ।
       गायन्ति गानचतुरास्तव दिव्यवृत्तं
            श्रीमन्नृसिंह! विजयीभव सुप्रभातम् ॥ १०॥

       वाराणासी-प्रथित-विष्णुपदी-प्रयाग-
            विख्यात-विश्वनत-सद्घ्टिकाचलेन्द्र!
       संप्रार्थितार्थ-परिदान-कृतैकदीक्ष!
            श्रीमन्नृसिंह! विजयीभव सुप्रभातम् ॥ ११॥

       पार्श्वद्वयस्थित- रमामहिशोभमान!
            श्रीचोलसिंहपुर-भाग्यकृतावतार!
       स्वामिन् सुशील-सुलभाश्रितपारिजात!
             श्रीमन्नृसिंह! विजयीभव सुप्रभातम् ॥ १२॥

       श्रीश्रीनिवास-घनदेशिकवर्य-भक्ति-
            संवर्धित-प्रतिदिनोत्सव-शोभमान ।
       कल्याणचेल-कनकोज्ज्वलभूषणाढ्य!
           श्रीमन्नृसिंह! विजयीभव सुप्रभातम् ॥ १३॥

       श्रीब्रह्मतीर्थतटमागतमञ्जनाभं
            देवं प्रणम्य वरदं घटिकाद्रिमेत्य ।
       वाधूल-मानिधि-महागुरेष आस्ते
            श्रीमन्नृसिंह! विजयीभव सुप्रभातम् ॥ १४॥

       आचार्यपूरुषवरा ह्यभिरामवृद्धा
            अर्हाभिपूज्यतर-मङ्गलवस्तुहस्ताः ।
       त्वत्पादपङ्कज-सिषेविषया प्रपन्नाः
            श्रीमन्नृसिंह! विजयीभव सुप्रभातम् ॥ १५॥

       श्रीमन्नृसिंह-गिरि-शेखर-सुप्रभातं
            ये मानवाः प्रतिदिनं पठितुं प्रवृत्ताः ।
       तेभ्यः प्रसन्नवदनः कमलासहायः
            सर्वाणि वाञ्चितफलानि ददाति कामम् ॥ १६॥

       
         ॥ इति श्री योगलक्ष्मीनरसिंह सुप्रभातं सम्पूर्णम् ॥

COMMENTS:-
This poem is addressed to Lord LakShmi Narasimha at the temple in Cholasimhapuram - popularly known as Sholingapuram. The place is about 125 km. from Chennai, the capital of Tamilnadu state.  It is also known as Ghatikachalam. The Lord has been sung by vaishnavite devotees known as Alwars. There are two hills in the village. The taller one has the temple of Shri LakShmi Narasimha.  On the smaller hill we can have the darshan of Anjaneya. The village is surrounded by lush green forests which are said to contains medicinal herbs. So, a stay in this place to have darshan of the Lord is conducive to both spiritual and physical well-being.  It is said that after the Lord appeared to cofirm His devotee Prahlada's assertion that He is present every where and in everything and killed the demon king Hiranyakashipu He was about to wind up the act.  The sages who were assembled there to witness the unique event were immensely moved by Lord's grace and His wonderful form . The Bhagavata Purana describes the form as most wonderful.अदृश्यत अत्यद्भुतरूपं उद्वहन् स्तम्बे सभायां न मृगं न मानुषम्। Please note the use of the word अत्यद्भुत रूपम् ᳚most wonderful᳚ to describe the form of Narasimha.  The Purana does not use such an adjective to describe any other of Lord's avatara includong that of Shri Krishna which the Purana covers at great length. Krishna, at His birth, is described as just अद्भुतं बालकं (i.e.) wonderful child. This shows the uniqness of Narasimha avatar. So, the sages who have the welfare of others always in their heart requested the Lord to make available His form for the benefit of all. The kindly Lord acceded to their request and stayed in this place Sholingapuram. This is a place of pilgrimage and is visited regularly by large number of people.
