ईश्वरचितनमेकं शरणम्
ईश्वरचितनमेकं शरणं
शाश्वतमिह मनुजाणाम् ।
इहपरसुकृतविधायकनमघं
अतः संसारविमोचकमेतत् ॥
Brooding of God alone is lasting refuge
for mankind. That alone is controlloing
our prosperity on earth and heaven. It
paves way to relief from hardships of
wordly life.
ईश्वरः प्राणवायुरिव भवति ।
तं द्रष्टुं न पारयसि । परं
तं विना जीवितुमप्यसाध्यम् ॥
God is like Oxygen.
You can't see Him
But you can't live without him.
दृष्टमदृश्यं स्यादतिवेगं
कष्टं स्यादवगन्तुमदृष्टम् ।
चिन्तितमेकं भवति ततोंयत्
जगदपि मायानाटकरङ्गम् ॥
What is before the eyes will soon disappear.
How will one know what is unseen?
One thinks of a certain thing and
something else happens.
This world is just a stage of illusions.
ब्रह्म सत्यं जगन्मिथ्या
God is real, the world is an illusion
त्वं जगति न
त्वमेव जगत्
You are not in the universe
You are the universe
दशलाभे हृदि शतमपि भवतु
शतमपि सन्तु सहस्रमतोऽपि ।
साहस्रमपि भूयाद्दशगुणितं
आशानामिह नहि परिमाणम् ॥
One who gets ten wishes for a hundred.
Then the yearnung is for a thousand and then
tenfold of that. Ambition is unfathmoable.
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते
मा फलेषु कदाचन ।
You have a right to perform your duty,
but you are not entitled to the fruits of action
लब्धेनापि न तृप्तो भूत्वा
अप्राप्यानां लिप्सा माभूत् ।
कर्मणि निरतो भवतु सदापि
कर्मफलं जगदीश्वरदानम् ॥
Don't beg for what you may not get with
dissatisfaction for what you got.
Keep doing what you should.
God will bless you with the benefits.
