ध्यानम् -
सङ्गीतमूर्तिं गुहभक्तवर्यं अद्वैतदृष्ट्या स्तुतदेवबृन्दम् ।
वीणाकरं मुत्तुमखीन्द्रमार्यं कारुण्यसिन्धुं मनसा स्मरामि ॥
I meditate upon Sri Mutthusvami Diskshita in my mind. He is the embodiment of music, the supreme devotee of Guha, and has sung the praises of all gods with the vision of non-duality. He plays the Veena and is an ocean of mercy.
१. ॐ कमलालय-सञ्जाताय नमः ।
Salutations to the one born in Tiruvarur
२. ॐ रामस्वामि-कुलोद्वहाय नमः ।
The one who elevated the family of (his father) Ramasvami Dikshitar
३. ॐ बालाम्बिका-कृपाप्राप्ताय नमः ।
The one who was obtained (by his parents) by the grace of Balambika of Vaideesvarankoil
४. ॐ सुब्बम्मा आनन्द-वर्धनाय नमः ।
The one who enhances the joy of (mother) Subbamma
५. ॐ श्रुतिस्मृति-पुराण इतिहास-साहित्य-पारगाय नमः ।
The one proficient in the Vedas, Smrtits,Puranas, Itihasas and other literature
६. ॐ स्वपित्रार्जित-सङ्गीत-शास्त्रज्ञानाय नमः ।
The one who received the knowledge of music earned by his father, from him as a rightful inheritance.
७. ॐ महामतये नमः ।
The one with a vast intellect
८. ॐ गृहागत-गुरुश्रेष्ठाय नमः ।
The one who was blessed to have his Guru (Chidambaranatha Yogi) come to his house, (in search of him)

The one who followed his Guru (in his Yatra to Kashi)

The one who mastered all the Shastras (from his Guru)
१३. ॐ कृतवाराणसी-वासाय नमः ।
The one who resided in Kashi (for a few years)
१४. ॐ श्रीविद्या-सम्प्रदायकाय नमः ।
The one who was initiated into and adhered to the Srividya Upasana Sampradaya
१५. ॐ भागीरथी-कराल्लब्ध-वीणालङ्कृत-हस्तकाय नमः ।
The one whose hands are adorned with a Veena received from the hands of Goddess Ganga

The one aware of the intricacies of Yoga Shastra

The one who has dispelled the impurities of Kaliyuga.

The receiver of the highest grace of Goddess Meenakshi, who removes bondages

Muthusvami Dikshitar is one of the revered Trinity of Carnatic Music composers. Following the path of Sri Adi Shankaracharya, he has composed songs in praise of various gods, as manifestations of the same Parabrahmam. His Keertanas are entirely in Sanskrit (except 2-3 songs which are in Manipravala style) , and are infused with concepts of Advaita Vedanta and Srividya Upasana. His works provide guidance and joy to thousands of devotees and music-lovers.
