श्रीश्यामस्तोत्रम्
अब्जयोनिशूलपाणिपाकशासनादिकै-
र्दैवसिद्धकिन्नरैश्च वन्दितं रमापतिम् ।
चक्रपाणिमुत्तमं गुणाकरं कृपानिधिं
श्यामदेवमीश्वरं नमामि पापनाशनम् ॥ १॥
वेणुगानतत्परं स्वगोप्यगोपमण्डनं
कालचैद्यदन्तवक्त्रमागधादिखण्डनम् ।
पूतनाबकासुरादिकेशिकंसनाशनं
श्यामदेवमीश्वरं नमामि शत्रुनाशनम् ॥ २॥
चन्द्रहासशोभितं सुपिच्छगुच्छमस्तकं
कुङ्कमादिचर्चितं विलोभिलोललोचनम् ।
हारकुण्डलत्विषासुशोभिनीलकुन्तलं
श्यामदेवमीश्वरं नमामि विश्वमोहनम् ॥ ३॥
अर्थ-
ब्रह्मा, शिव, इन्द्र इत्यादि देवताओं, सिद्ध तथा किन्नरों से स्तुति किये
गये लक्ष्मीपति, सुदर्शन-चक्र-धारी, पुरुषोत्तम, गुणगणों के
समुद्र, दयासागर, सर्वसमर्थ, भक्तजनों के पापनाशक भगवान्
श्रीश्यामदेव को सविनय प्रणाम है ॥ १॥
जो भगवान् वंशी के गान में तत्पर हैं। अपनी पालनीय गोपमण्डली के
सुशोभित मुखिया हैं। कालयवन जैसे प्रचण्डम्लेच्छ, शिशुपाल,
दन्तवक्त्र, जरासन्ध जैसे प्रबल-प्रतापी राजाओं के अहङ्कार को
खण्डित करने वाले हैं। पूतना-राक्षसी, बकासुर, अघासुर आदि
मायावी असुरों, केशी, कंस आदि का नाश करने वाले हैं। भक्तजनों
के शत्रुओं को नष्ट करने वाले सर्वसमर्थ भगवान् श्रीश्यामदेव
को सविनय नमस्कार है ॥ २॥
जिनके मुख पर चन्द्रमा के समान हृदयहारी मुसकान सर्वदा
सुशोभित है और उनका मोर के पंखों के गुच्छों के मुकुट से
अलंकृत मस्तक है। जो केसर, कस्तूरी, कुंकुम ( रोली ) आदि
दिव्यचन्दनों से चर्चित हैं। जिनके समस्त प्राणियों को लुभाने वाले
चञ्चल नेत्र हैं। गलशोभी हार एवं कानों के मकराकृति कुण्डलों
से काले घुंघराले बाल सुशोभित हो रहे हैं। ऐसे विश्वमोहन,
सर्वसमर्थ, भगवान् श्रीश्यामदेव को सविनय नमस्कार है ॥ ३॥
Meaning
He, to Whom the foremost amongst Gods- Brahma, Shiva, Indra et
cetera, offer their veneration. All the Gods, Siddhas, Kinnaras
and other divine beings are resolved only to His worship.
He, Who is the amorous consort of MahaLakshmi and holds the
Chakra(divine disc). He is full of Divine Good Qualities and
is the foremost amongst all. That Krishna Who is receptacle
of compassion, I pay obeisances to that Supreme God ShyamaDeva,
Who obliterates the sins of His devotees. ..1..
Who is fervent to play His flute and is the leader of his group
of cowherds. Who besmirched the insolence of great Kings such
as KaalaYavana, ShishuPaala, DantaVaktra, Jarasandha and others.
That Supreme Lord who brought the astutious demons like Putanaa,
Bakasura, Aghasura et cetera, and others such as Keshi, Kansa et
cetera, to an end. I bow to Him, the Ultimate God ShyamaDeva,
Who is annihilator of enemies of His devotees. ..2..
Whose face shines like a mirthful moon and His head is baroque
with cluster of Peacock feathers. His body is besmeared with
ambrosial sandal wood paste and KunKuma, and He has enticing
eyes rolling in rapture. Whose hair is of entrancing deep
blue colour and which is gleaming with His scintillating
neck carcanet and ear cuffs. I offer salutations to Supreme
Lord ShyamaDeva, Who mesmerises the Universe with His Divine
Form. ..3..
इन्द्रमानखण्डनं गिरीन्द्रशीलहस्तकं
गोपबालधेनुवत्सगोपिकार्तिनाशनम् ।
भक्तभीतिहारकं दवाग्निपानकारकं
श्यामदेवमीश्वरं नमामि भक्तपालकम् ॥ ४॥
गोपकन्यकावृतं कलिन्दकन्यकातटे
चारुनर्मशोभितं कदम्बपादपे स्थितम् ।
बालकृष्णमीप्सितार्थदायकं पतिं हरिं
श्यामदेवमीश्वरं नमामि कामदायकम् ॥ ५॥
कुब्जवेश्ममध्यगं सकामकामिनीधृतं
चुम्बिताधरामृतं प्रसन्नवक्त्रपङ्कजम् ।
प्रफुल्लपङ्कजेक्षणं सुकौस्तुभाङ्गभूषणं
श्यामदेवमीश्वरं नमामि केलिकारकम् ॥ ६॥
अर्थ-
जो इन्द्र जैसे शक्तिसंपन्न देवराज के घमण्ड को चूर कर देते
हैं। पर्वतश्रेष्ठ गोवर्धन के उठाने में जिनका हाथ सिद्ध
है। गोपबालक, गौओं के बछडे, गोपिकायें आदि निर्बल प्राणियों
की नानाविध आपत्तियों का नाश करने वाले हैं। भक्तजनों के भय
के विनाशक हैं। दावाग्नि (जंगली अग्नि) को मुख से पीकर शान्त
करते हैं। ऐसे भक्तपालक, सर्वसमर्थ, भगवान् श्रीश्यामदेव
को सविनय प्रणाम है ॥ ४॥
जो पुण्यसलिला यमुनानदी के किनारे में गोपकन्याओं से घिरे हुए, कदम्ब
के पेडपर बैठे हुए, चीरहरण की मनोहारी क्रीडा-लीला के रसिक
हैं। समस्त अभिलाषाओं के अनुकूल वर देने वाले, जगत्पति नारायण,
जो बालक कृष्ण के रूप में भी हैं, उन मनोवांछित-वरदाता,
सर्वसमर्थ भगवान् श्यामदेव को सविनय नमन है ॥ ५॥
जो प्रार्थना पर कुब्जा-जैसी साधारण सेविका के घर में भी पधारते
हैं। रूपमोहित, कामदेव के वशीभूत कामिनियों से पकडे जाते
हैं और वे उनका चुम्बन और अधरामृत-पान करती हैं। जिनका
सर्वदा-सुन्दर कमल की भाँति मुखमण्डल है, विकसित कमल के
समान नेत्र हैं, सुन्दर कौस्तुभमणि जिनका अंगभूषण है, उन
लोक-लीला-कारक, सर्वसमर्थ भगवान् श्रीश्यामदेव को सविनय
नमस्कार है ॥ ६॥
Meaning
Who destroys the false arrogance of the great Gods like
Indra, the King of Gods. Who easily upheld the great mountain
Govardhana in His hands. Who is assiduous towards removing
afflictions of cowherds, calves of cows, the cow-herd damsels,
and other fragile beings. Vishnu is the extirpater of all
fears and anxieties of His devotees. And He tranquilises all
the beings by Himself consuming the conflagrations of the
forest of this material world. To that nurturer of devotees,
I bow down to Foremost God ShyamaDeva. ..4..
Krishna is always clustered by cowherd damsels on the banks of
Daughter of Kalinda mountain, id est River Yamuna. His face
is embellished with His small smile and He reposes under the
Kadamba tree. Who is in form of small baby and confers all
the desires of devotees. To that Lord Hari, I pay obeisances
to ShyamaDeva, the Supreme God. ..5..
Who arrived even to the cottage of as insignificant people as
Kubjaa for her ardent devotion (this shows Krishna's ineffable
compassion and love towards devotees). And He is captured by
glamorous damsels who are enamored by His charm and constantly
drink the nectar of His lips by kissing Him on His lotus face
which is blossoming with exuberance. Whose eyes are like
blossoming lotuses and Kaustubha Mani adorns as His jewellery.
I revere that Great God ShyamaDeva, Who is always enthusiastic
to do Leela (Divine Plays, Pastimes). ..6..
नन्दगोपमण्डनं यशोदया विभूषितं
बालकेलिकारकं मनोहरं विभाकरम् ।
किङ्किणीकुतूहलेन नृत्यगीतनादितं
श्यामदेवमीश्वरं नमामि योगदायकम् ॥ ७॥
विश्वभावकारकं मनोरथप्रदायकं
वेदशास्त्रवन्दितं निरञ्जनं निरामयम् ।
यज्ञकर्मसाधकं द्विजार्तिमोहबाधकं
श्यामदेवमीश्वरं नमामि सिद्धिदायकम् ॥ ८॥
रत्नयुक्तमस्तकं मुनीप्सितं वरप्रदं
कौरवादिदुष्टराजपीडकं क्षमाकरम् ।
सूर्यबिम्बमध्यवर्तितेजसा प्रपूरितं
श्यामदेवमीश्वरं नमामि भानुमध्यगम् ॥ ९॥
अर्थ-
व्रजराज नन्दराय की प्रजारूप गोपों के शोभाकारी हैं। यश और दया
से विभूषित (यशोदा-नन्दन) बालकों की क्रीडा को भी अपनानेवाले,
मनोमोहक दिव्यरूपसंपन्न, अन्धकार में भी अपनी रूपप्रभा से
प्रकाश करने वाले हैं। पैर में पहनी हुई पायल के घुंघरू
बजाने की चाह से नाच-गान से नादसंपन्न, योगसाधना के वरदाता,
सर्वसमर्थ, भगवान् श्रीश्यामदेव को सविनय नमस्कार है ॥ ७॥
समस्त विश्व की सत्ता को करने (रखने) वाले, चर-अचर जगत् की
मानसिक सत्-अभिलाषाओं के प्रदाता हैं। वेद एवं शास्त्रों की स्तुतियों
के द्वारा वन्दनीय, निर्मल, निविकार हैं। यज्ञ आदि सत्कर्म के साधक
हैं। द्विज (अपने जन्म और वेदों में श्रद्धा रखनेवाले) जनों के
कष्ट एवं मोह को हटाने वाले, सर्व-सिद्धि-विधाता, सर्वसमर्थ,
भगवान् श्रीश्यामदेव को सविनय नमन है ॥ ८॥
रत्नजटित मुकुट से मण्डित मस्तक वाले हैं। अष्टांगयोग में
निरत मुनिगणों के चाहे हुए ध्येय देवता और वरदाता हैं। कौरव
आदि दुष्टबुद्धि-शक्तिसम्पन्न राजाओं के भी दमनकारी हैं और
सर्व-शक्ति-संपन्न होते हुए भी क्षमाकारी हैं। सूर्यमण्डल के
तेज से भी अधिक तेजस्वी, सूर्यमण्डल के मध्य में भी उपासनीय,
सर्वसमर्थ, भगवान् श्रीश्यामदेव को सविनय नमस्कार है ॥ ९॥
Meaning
Narayana is the elegant leader of subjects of Nanda's
cowherds. He is always ornated by His Mother Jashoda when He
plays in His enchanting child form and coruscate like a Sun,
guiding world away from darkness. Who is surrounded by the
ebullient noise of clattering anklets during the great festive
dance and singing. To that Great lord ShyamaDeva, I devote
myself to the Giver of union with His Supreme Self. ..7..
Who brought this World into existence and then fulfills all the
mind-born desires of the entire world. Who is the Infallible
and Omnipotent Supreme Lord invocated in all the Vedas and
Shaastras. Who alone is the benefactor of all the Yagya(holy
fire sacrifice ritual) and other rituals and expatriates the
tribulations of the Twice-Born persons and removes their bondage
to this world. I prostrate to that Ultimate Lord ShyamaDeva,
who graciously bestows all the Siddhis (spiritual supernatural
powers). ..8..
Whose head is ornamented with jewel studded crown and the
Munis and Sages adore only His worship. Shri Raama grants all
the wishes of devotees. He torments all the atrocious people
like the evil kings Kauravas and others, but instantly forgives
all those who bow to Him with full devotion and love. Who is
resplendent with the rays of middle of Sun Disc(the brightest
rays), I venerate that Great Lord ShyamaDeva, Who rests in
middle of Sun and thus illuminates the entire world. ..9..
वेदमन्त्रयन्त्रतन्त्रशब्दसारदायकं
धर्ममार्गवर्द्धकं ह्यधर्ममार्गनाशकम् ।
रागतापशोककोपदुःखदैत्यनाशकं
श्यामदेवमीश्वरं नमामि वित्तसाधकम् ॥ १०॥
ज्ञानमानबुद्धिवृद्धिकारकं खलापहं
दुष्टदैत्यनाशनं मुनीन्द्रवृन्दवन्दितम्।
सर्वलोकसेवितं शिवप्रियं क्षमाकरं
श्यामदेवमीश्वरं नमामि सर्वसाक्षिणम् ॥ ११॥
गृहसुतधनतेजःस्त्र्यादिसर्वप्रदाता
निगमगुणविनेता कालभीतिप्रभेता।
अरिकुलवधकर्ता भक्तकार्यातिचेता
जगति जयति देवः श्यामदेवः प्रतापी ॥ १२॥
अर्थ-
वेदों के मन्त्र, विभिन्नकार्यों के साधक यन्त्र, तन्त्र के प्रभावकारी
शब्दों में चमत्कार का बल देनेवाले हैं। धर्म-मर्यादा के मार्ग
को बढानेवाले और अधर्म के मार्ग को नष्ट करनेवाले हैं। जीवों
के राग, संताप, शोक, क्रोध, दुख, प्रेत, पिशाच, दैत्य आदि की
बाधा को हटाने वाले हैं। मानव जीवन के अपेक्षित सर्वविध धन
की सिद्ध करनेवाले, सर्वसमर्थ, भगवान् श्यामदेव को सविनय
नमस्कार है ॥ १०॥
जीवों के ज्ञान-सम्मान-बुद्धि को बढानेवाले, दुष्ट
मनोभाव वाले खल व्यक्तियों को दूर करने वाले, प्रबलदुष्ट
दैत्य की प्रभावशक्ति को नष्ट करने वाले और योग-सामर्थ्य से
सम्पन्न मुनिवरों के समूह द्वारा श्रद्धा से वन्दित हैं। समस्त
लोक-निवासियों से सेवित, योगिराज महादेव शिव के प्रिय हैं। समस्त
त्रुटियों, अपराधों को उदारता से क्षमा करने वाले, सभी कर्त्तव्यों
के द्रष्टा-साक्षी, सर्वसमर्थ भगवान् श्रीश्यामदेव को सविनय
नमन है ॥ ११॥
मकान, भूमि, पुत्र, धन, तेज (व्यक्तित्व ), कलत्र आदि समस्त
भोगसाधनों के दाता हैं। समस्त शुभ कल्याणकारी गुणोंके शिक्षक
हैं तथा कालके भय को दूर करने वाले हैं। शत्रुगणों को समूल
नष्ट करनेवाले, भक्त के कार्य के प्रति अत्यधिक ध्यान देने वाले,
प्रबलप्रतापी, देवविग्रहधारी, भगवान् श्रीश्यामदेव की इस जगत्
में जय-जयकार है ॥ १२॥
Meaning
Who is Endower of essence of all the Vedas, Mantras, Yantras,
Tantras and all the Words and Letters. He exalts the path
of righteousness and annihilates the path of sin and evil.
Who destroys the demons of attachment, tormentation, misery,
anger and sorrow, salutations to Supreme God ShyamaDeva,
Who lavishes prosperity to devotees. ..10..
He who increases the Knowledge, Recognition and Intellect of His
devotees and dispels the reprobate people away. Who expunges
the malicious Demons and is venerated by assemblage of Munis
and Sages. Raama is served by all the worlds and is the
beloved God of Maheshvara Shiva. I pay obeisances to the most
lovingly forgiving Supreme Lord ShyamaDeva, Who beholds the
entire creation. ..11..
Krishna is bestower of home, children, prosperity, recognition,
consort and all the desires of devotees. He is the preceptor
of right conduct mentioned in Vedas and exterminator of fear
of death. He erases the entire enemies of devotees from the
very root and is extremely appetent to fulfill all the desired
ends of His devotees. The Divine God Shyaama always shines
Eminent and Victorious in all the worlds. ..12..
स्तोत्रं सदा कार्यकरं नराणां
रामप्रसादेन कृतं मनोज्ञम् ।
यथेप्सिताशेषमनोरथं वै
लभेत सिद्धिं कुलकीर्तिमायुः ॥ १३॥
अर्थ-
यह स्तोत्र मनुष्यों के मनचाहे कार्य को सर्वदा पूर्ण करता है।
इस सुन्दर स्तोत्र को भगवान् श्रीश्यामदेव की कृपा से 'रामप्रसाद'
नामक भक्त ने बनाया है। इस स्तोत्र के पाठ के द्वारा मनुष्य अपनी
इच्छा के अनुकूल सर्वविध भावनाओं को, नानाविध चमत्कारी सिद्धियों
को, कुल की कीर्ति और दीर्घ आयुष्य को प्राप्त करते हैं ॥ १३॥
Meaning
This pleasant Hymn composed by RaamaPrasaada grants entire
desires of human beings. The devotee eulogising Krishna with
this powerful Hymn attains each and every desired wish and
accomplishes all the Spiritual powers, honour of his family

भगवान् श्रीश्यामदेव राजस्थान के अतिप्रसिद्ध देवता हैं
और लाखों घरों के कुलदेव, इष्टदेव हैं । श्रीश्यामदेव
को कथा संस्कृतसाहित्य के अनुपम निधि पुराणों में उपलब्ध
हैं। श्रीश्यामप्रभु की विस्तृत कथा महर्षि वेदव्यास-रचित
अष्टादश महापुराणों में से अन्यतम, प्रधान स्कन्द-पुराण के
कौमारिकाखण्ड में मिलती है । यह कथा पाँच अध्यायों ( ३४५
श्लोकों ) में है, जो अतीव सुन्दर, रोचक एवं उपदेशप्रद है ।
इसके अतिरिक्त भारतसार में भी संक्षिप्त श्रीश्यामदेवकथा
दो अध्यायों (४६ श्लोकों) में किञ्चित् रूपान्तर से उपलब्ध होती है ।
